“ANALGESICS- A BOON OR BANE”

ANALGESIC after hearing this word the first thing that scrolls down in our mind is ‘PAIN’. Analgesics/ Painkiller : The word itself defines a drug that kills pain. Or it means drug used to relieve pain. Today’s generation lag behind in patience and tolerance. Whenever there is any health issue we get dependent on medicine without understanding its pros and cons. Pain is an unpleasant sensation and emotional experience linked to tissue damage. Its purpose is to allow the body to react and prevent further tissue damage. The experience for pain is different for everyone and there are different feelings and ways of describing pain. Analgesic yes it is a boon as it reduces pain  and that unpleasant emotional experience, discomfort but it acts as a Two-edged sword. Excess of analgesic is bad too, therefore it’s a bane as well.                  What is oral hygiene and what is the importance of oral hygiene in our daily life ? O ral hygiene includes all the process for keeping the mouth clean and healthy. Good oral hygiene is necessary for the prevention of dental caries, periodontal disease, bad breath {halitosis} and other dental problems . Steps for maintaining good oral hygiene includes :- Brushing your teeth (at least twice a day or after every meal). Floss your teeth regularly. Rinsing. Proper diet. Other interdental aids. Regular checkups. Brushing Always use soft bristle toothbrush. Place the toothbrush at a 45-degree angle at the gum line, engage the brush and move in a circular and vertical manner.
